so often we can get ourselves into a tailspin, running here, there and everywhere with a "to do" list about a mile long, getting so consumed with our busy schedules that we don't stop to look at the big picture!
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. ~ James 4:14,15
We are not going to be here forever! This life is just like the doorstep to our everlasting home in eternity. What is on my "to do list" that counts for God? because thats the only thing that will count in the long run!
I'm not trying to point fingers, I'm as guilty as the next person at getting caught up in the daily hum drum of society but this should be a challenge to us all. To step back and look at the big picture and how my life is counting for God, to thank him for even giving us another day to serve him, and doing my best to be pleasing to him!
